Mila can't remember anything before the fire that took her father's life. It's normal to have some memory loss after traumatic events, but Mila doesn't remember if she's ever learned to ride a bike, or if she's ever been in love. Nothing.

What she doesn't know is that she isn't supposed to remember—that she was built in a computer science lab and programmed to forget. Because if she remembers, she might discover her true identity.

The question is: If she relived the fire, what would she see?

Hey, hey you guys. This story is FREE. That's right. FREE. Enjoy it.

It certainly geared me up for the release of the book on the 12th.

It was also terribly short. The rest of it is a preview of the first chapters of the book, which I have declined to read until I have the whole thing.

The story throws you straight into the action. It's only one chapter, but it's insane. Fire, man. Fire, everywhere. It gives a good sense of the author's writing style, the character, and what we can most likely expect from the book. It has me wriggling in my seat, for sure.

Not to mention, it just ends. Poof! It's done! One taste was not enough! I need more!
